Yes, check-in is anytime after 4:00PM. We use a self-check-in system here. There is no need to get in touch when you arrive, unless you need assistance of course!

ID collection is required after a reservation is made. Guests will recieve a link via email and SMS text message to upload their ID to our secure portal.

No, we are not staffed around the clock and do not have a front desk. If you have urgent issues you can call us anytime.

We understand that sometimes plans change! We work hard to issue refunds within 1 business day following cancellation. Once a refund is issued, you will receive a confirmation email from us. Refunds may take 5 or more business days to reflect in your account. 

We are a 14 room establishment and unfortunately are unable to accommodate group rates.

Our rates fluctuate depending on several factors such as time of year, day of week, vacancy rates, etc...

The charge you see is for the Vermont Meals & Rooms tax.

This tax is paid when purchasing meals or alcoholic beverages served in bars and restaurants and when renting a room.

On-Site Parking: 

First-come, first served and NOT guaranteed with a booking. It is available to guests during their reservation period only.

** If you have a flight to catch or otherwise do not want to risk being blocked in by another vehicle - use garage or street parking instead! **

There is limited parking beside the building. You may park in driveway spaces marked 36 or 38 ONLY. Do NOT park in driveway spaces marked 44 or 54; you will be towed at your expense.

Important! If you choose to use the driveway - Leave your contact information on the whiteboard just inside the front door that corresponds to your parking lane (marked either 36 or 38). Please leave your room number, license plate number and phone number on this whiteboard. Email the same information to stay@mycousinsplace.com. If blocking another vehicle you may be asked to move your car. Please respond promptly. Any unidentified cars are subject to towing at vehicle driver’s expense.

Park at your own risk. Pull all the way forward. Remove valuables. Lock your vehicle. 

Idling is illegal. Do NOT let your back bumper hang over or otherwise block the sidewalk. Vehicles idling and / or blocking the sidewalk or bicycle lane may be ticketed and TOWED by the City of Burlington at vehicle owner’s expense.

No, without a front desk we can not reliably receive packages onsite.

You can, however, ship items to the local UPS Store. UPS does charge a small handling fee.

We have a bike rack behind the building. You'll need to bring your own lock.

We don't recommend storing bikes here overnight. Instead, you can bring them in your room. We ask that bikes not be left in common areas.

Shuttle: 

Walking down to the waterfront or up to UVM and the medical center takes about 15 minutes. If you would rather catch a lift, there is a free shuttle that travels up and down College Street from the waterfront to the University of Vermont Medical Center, with stops at the Church Street Marketplace, the city library, and the UVM campus along the way. The College Street Shuttle runs every 15 minutes and is just a couple blocks away from the house (under five minutes on foot). There are spots for two bikes on the shuttles which is especially nice after a long ride on the Burlington Bike Path!

Bus: 

The Burlington Transit Center is located at 45 Saint Paul Street, and is a 7 minute walk from the house. The Transit Center is the hub for Burlington’s city and regional commuter bus, the CCTA. Megabus, Vermont Translines, and Greyhound have stops here as well.

The Burlington International Airport is located in South Burlington at 1200 Airport Drive. The airport is 10 minutes from the house by car and is served by city bus (CCTA), Uber, and taxis.

Green Cab is a popular one and can be scheduled in advance.

We are only a 4 minute walk to Church Street Marketplace. Our accommodation is centrally located, in the heart of downtown. 

We are a 7 minute drive or 20 minute walk to UVMMC.

Pets are not allowed. 

If you have a service animal we will need proof of current vaccinations emailed to us directly from your Veterinarian. Vaccination emails can be sent to stay@mycousinsplace.com

In addition, we will need list of duties the animal is trained to perform. 

Service animals must stay with their person at all times and are never to be left unattended on the premises.  

Yes, we do not allow children under age 5.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. 

We are a 5 minute ride to Waterfront Park where you can pick up the Burlington Bike Path!

We do not use air conditioning. The building is from the 1800's and our power circuits do not support it. Please plan accordingly.

No, none of our bedrooms have private bathrooms. All of the bathrooms on the property are shared amongst guests.
